We are a Christian, happy homeschooling family with 8-year-old twins, and we are looking for a warm, energetic, and genuinely fun mother's helper to join us in our everyday life. We would need help roughly one day a week, either Tuesday OR Thursday. We live on a hobby farm about 10 minutes west of Water Valley, Alberta. The main purpose of this role is to give our children an immersive and enjoyable environment for learning Spanish through conversation, play, everyday activities, chores, and connection. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves children and is perhaps a little bit of a big kid themselves! ? Our days are varied, and we'd love for you to simply jump in and be part of our life and whatever needs doing. This could include: Collecting eggs and feeding/watering Going to the swimming pool or heading out for an activity Brushing out 2 very big dogs and giving pets Cooking or baking together in the kitchen Grocery shopping or running errands Helping with schoolwork and learning activities Cleaning or tidying a room together Playing games, doing crafts, reading, or getting creative Exploring new places and learning new things together Spending time outdoors on our acreage Simply hanging out, joking around, and having lots of fun and conversation Spanish immersion is the heart of the role Our biggest expectation is that you will consistently speak Spanish with the children and avoid switching to English, even when they respond to you in English. We want Spanish to become a natural part of their everyday life-not something that only happens during a formal lesson. The kids currently understand quite a bit of Spanish, and our goal is to develop their listening and speaking skills further in a very natural, relaxed, and enjoyable way. We are looking for someone who will talk, talk, talk! Ask lots of questions, encourage the kids to explain things, tell stories, play pretend, joke around, and naturally draw them into conversation throughout the day. We want them hearing and using Spanish constantly and in meaningful, real-life situations. My kids are chatty:) It would be wonderful if you are creative and enjoy coming up with games, activities,



stories, challenges, and little ways to make language learning exciting. We want the kids to associate Spanish with fun, laughter, connection, and everyday life. Because we live on an acreage, there are also lots of interesting things to explore and do outside. There are animals, nature, chores, projects, and plenty of opportunities to turn everyday moments into conversations and learning experiences. What the role looks like I will generally be around the house or wherever we are, so this isn't necessarily a traditional childcare role where you are solely responsible for the children-although that could happen from time to time. I'll be there, but also not there! ? I'll often be focused on my own work, homeschooling tasks, or other things, perhaps in another room, while you take the lead with the kids. Your primary focus would be engaging with them: playing, talking, exploring, helping them learn, and creating lots of opportunities for natural Spanish conversation. We are ultimately looking for someone who is extremely enthusiastic, playful, patient, creative, talkative, and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. Someone who can jump into their world, be silly with them, ask endless questions, and make learning feel like fun rather than work. We also joke around a lot in our family, so a good sense of humour and someone who doesn't mind being a little silly would be a great fit!
