We are looking for an Applications Engineer who can turn complex customer requirements into smart, practical automation solutions.Working at the intersection of engineering, estimating, and business development, you will lead the technical development of RFQ/RFP responses, create automation concepts, develop cost estimates, and collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to build winning solutions.Core Duties & Responsibilities
Proposals & Applications
Lead the technical development of customer RFQ/RFP responsesAssess customer requirements and develop competitive solution strategiesOwn proposal timelines from kick-off through final submissionDevelop project estimates, scope, and technical proposal contentSupport customer site visits, presentations, and technical discussionsCoordinate input from Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and suppliersTechnical & Engineering
Develop innovative concepts for custom automation and automotive applicationsCreate 2D/3D CAD concepts and equipment layoutsReview technical specifications, project scope, and customer requirementsCollaborate with Engineering and suppliers to determine equipment, materials, and technical solutionsIdentify technical risks and develop solutions early in the proposal processSupport awarded projects through effective handoff to project execution teamsOperational Excellence & Collaboration
Improve estimating accuracy, proposal quality,



and project planningIdentify and mitigate technical and commercial risksBuild strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teamsContribute to continuous improvement and proposal process standardizationMentor and support junior team membersQualifications
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related disciplineExperience in automation, automotive manufacturing, machine building, or systems integrationExperience with RFQs/RFPs, technical proposals, estimating, or applications engineeringStrong understanding of automation systems and manufacturing processesExperience creating 2D/3D CAD concepts and equipment layoutsStrong technical problem-solving and commercial awarenessExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and proposal deadlinesWhat We Offer:
