Duties

- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service during checkout, answering questions about products and store policies
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, debit, and mobile payments efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with merchandising by organizing products on shelves and ensuring displays are tidy and appealing
- Conduct product demos when necessary to educate customers about features and benefits of items




- Upsell relevant products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area while adhering to safety and security procedures

Qualifications

- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially with POS systems and cash handling
- Basic math skills for quick calculations and transaction accuracy
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product presentation is advantageous
- Demonstrated organizational skills to keep the checkout area neat and operationally efficient
