Administrative Assistant

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36–40 hours per week – flexible daytime scheduling available, with a start time no later than 9:00 a.m.
Wage: $20.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

Future Nets & Supplies Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative operations of our aquaculture services business.

We understand that a traditional work schedule does not work for everyone. We are open to discussing flexible daytime scheduling options with the right candidate, with start times available up to 9:00 a.m. This flexibility may help accommodate school drop-offs, family responsibilities, or other commitments. The position will generally consist of 36–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the specific daily schedule to be discussed with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting inventory management, tracking transportation documentation, and assisting with general office administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform accurate and timely data entry.
- Maintain and organize truck log books and transportation records.
- Track fuel usage and reconcile fuel records with driver log books.
- Maintain quarterly IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) reporting spreadsheets.
- Manage stock room inventory and identify items requiring replenishment or ordering.
- Maintain employee documentation and ensure work forms and records remain current.




- Assist with filing, record management, and document organization.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide general administrative support as required.
- Perform other office duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- Previous administrative, clerical, or data entry experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidential information.
- Experience with transportation records, inventory management, or logistics administration would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the aquaculture, trucking, or manufacturing industries would be considered an asset.
