Total Transload Services is a bulk material handling and logistics company based out of Sturgeon County in Alberta. We provide customized transloading, storing and delivering solutions to all of our clients.

We are currently looking to fill a position for a heavy duty mechanic.

in this role, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Maintaining trucks, trailers and other heavy-duty equipment (experience with pneumatic bulk trailers is an asset)
- Inspect and diagnose the cause of any malfunction or defect and perform repairs required to meet standards;
- Assemble, disassemble, inspect/test and replace parts;
- Maintaining a daily record of all work tasks and completing all paperwork/work orders as required;
- Must be physically able to complete all job tasks;
- Inspection of trucks and trailers for CVIPs;
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery;
- Maintain a clean and tidy personal work area and assist with general cleaning duties in a workshop environment

Requirements:

- Must have a minimum of 2 year's experience;
- Experience in heavy truck, trailer and equipment repairs including electrical and hydraulic;
- Own tools and reliable transportation;
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems;
- Valid Class 5 drivers license;




- Skilled in the operation of a variety of tools and equipment used in the repair of trucks and heavy equipment;
- Capable of preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports;

- Have excellent work attendance history
- Knowledge of how material handling equipment works
- Must enjoy working outdoors in all climates
- Willing to work various shifts
- Must be safety conscious
- Must be reliable and have own vehicle as public transportation is not available
