The Sleep Clinician is responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care for patients with sleep-disordered breathing while actively supporting the clinic’s growth through patient education, therapy adherence, and ethical sales of sleep therapy solutions (CPAP, BiPAP, masks, and accessories). This role combines clinical expertise with consultative sales skills to improve patient outcomes and drive revenue.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct patient assessments related to sleep-disordered breathing and CPAP therapy
- Review sleep study results (HSAT or PSG) and explain findings to patients in clear, patient-friendly language
- Set up, fit, and educate patients on CPAP, APAP, BiPAP, and related devices
- Perform mask fitting and troubleshooting to optimize comfort and compliance
- Monitor therapy data, compliance reports, and clinical outcomes
- Provide follow-up care, coaching, and therapy adjustments to improve adherence
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure proper patient treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR and compliance systems
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience from consultation through follow-up
- Build trust and long-term relationships with patients
- Reduce therapy abandonment and non-compliance rates
- Handle patient concerns and resolve issues professionally
Sales & Revenue Responsibilities
- Educate patients on the value and benefits of prescribed sleep therapy solutions
- Conduct consultative sales conversations
- Recommend appropriate devices, masks, accessories, and service packages
- Convert sleep study referrals into CPAP therapy starts
- Address patient objections related to cost, comfort, and long-term usage
- Explain insurance coverage, private pay options, and rental programs
- Achieve individual and clinic sales targets while maintaining ethical standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed or certified healthcare skilled (RRT, RN, LPN, Sleep Technologist, or equivalent required)
- Experience in sleep medicine, respiratory care, or CPAP therapy preferred
- Robust understanding of sleep apnea and PAP therapy
- Proven sales or consultative selling experience in healthcare is an asset
- Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable discussing pricing, insurance, and payment options
- Tech-savvy with PAP software, EMR systems, and compliance platforms

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
