Det’on Cho We Le Dai LP operating as Keskorie Boarding Home is 100% owned by the Yellowknives Dene First Nation. Our Keskorie Boarding Home is cultural oriented with a friendly work environment that houses people from all over the Territory.
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Kitchen Helper is a key member of the Keskorie Food Service Team who will be instrumental in assisting in preparing and serving all food products based on the requirements of the day-to-day menu, daily cleaning and sanitization duties of dining and kitchen area; and ensuring that Food Secure practices are strictly adhered to at all time. This is a perfect position if you are keen on customer service with a passion for ensuring inclusive care for individuals. Scheduled shift hours will include 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Current certificate in Food Safety Level 1
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (training provided)
- Standard First Aid (training provided)
- Knowledge of the safe and efficient operation of all equipment in the Food Service area
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for clients

- Physically fit and Ability to lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
