Our team is looking for a full-time Intermediate Piping Designer who is driven to deliver their best work every day and are committed to working collaboratively to achieve shared goals. RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design piping layouts, 3D modelling (AutoCAD Plant 3D) and generate isometric drawings, GA’s, piping plans and details or other deliverables as part of piping mandates for the industry. You will also use 3D scanning technology and the point clouds that are generated.
- Help coordinate and develop deadlines, estimates, budgets and project monitoring.
- Plan, organize and control project-specific criteria or standards (Pipe supports, specifications and design criteria).




- Understanding of pipe stress and work with stress engineers on piping design.
- Update PFD’s and P&ID; master documents.
- Determine costs and quantities in accordance with client needs.
- Perform cross discipline checking of drawings and 3D models.
- Communicate with vendors and vendor data efficiently in designs. Understanding of Mechanical equipment and perform vendor review checks.
- Participate in 3D model reviews.
- Mentor Jr team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diploma in drafting design or equivalent;
- Must have a minimum 5 – 7 years of piping design experience with EPCM experience;
- Experienced working with AutoCad, AutoCad Plant 3D, Navisworks
- Must be able to handle very detailed work and demonstrate a high level of accuracy;
- Must have a "get it done" attitude and be proactive;
- Must have strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines;
- Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision;
- Experience working with point clouds for 3D modelling would be an asset.
