Position Overview

Maxima Walls & Ceilings is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Lead to take a key role in our commercial drywall division.

We are looking for someone who understands how to win profitable work, not simply complete take-offs.

The Role

You will take ownership of estimating and preconstruction for major commercial and multi-family drywall projects, including:

- Drywall, steel stud and insulation estimating
- Detailed take-offs and labour/material pricing
- Scope reviews and tender analysis
- Bid strategy and risk identification
- Value engineering
- Tender submissions and negotiations
- Following up with general contractors
- Maintaining a strong bidding pipeline
- Developing relationships with new and existing clients
- Reviewing awarded projects with operations before turnover
- Improving estimating systems, historical pricing and processes

Who We Want

You should have:

- 7–10+ years of relevant construction estimating experience
- Strong direct experience with drywall, steel stud and insulation
- Experience pricing multi-million-dollar projects
- Robust understanding of labour productivity and material pricing




- Proven history of winning profitable work
- Strong relationships within the Vancouver construction market
- Excellent attention to scope, exclusions and contractual risk
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong commercial instincts — not simply estimating ability

- Consistently maintain a strong tender pipeline
- Increase profitable annual awarded work
- Improve bid accuracy and discipline
- Develop new GC relationships
- Protect margins
- Build scalable estimating systems
- Help grow the drywall division toward $40M+ in annual revenue

Compensation

- $102,000–$148,000 base salary
- Performance-based annual bonus
- Benefits after 3 months
- Significant long-term opportunity as the company grows
