Overview
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Ontario High School Computer Science Teacher to teach ICS3U – Introduction to Computer Science, Grade 11, University Preparation at our Ministry-inspected private school.
The successful candidate must have previous experience teaching ICS3U and/or ICS4U at an Ontario inspected private school or public school and must be highly familiar with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations, assessment and evaluation requirements, and course documentation standards.
This is a short-term part-time teaching position from September 2026 to early December 2026.
Teaching Schedule:
Monday to Friday
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons for ICS3U in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum
- Develop and maintain appropriate lesson plans, course materials, assessments, and evaluation records
- Teach programming concepts, algorithms, problem-solving, software development, and other curriculum expectations required for ICS3U
- Design and administer assignments, projects, tests, and other assessments aligned with Ontario assessment and evaluation requirements
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records of marks, attendance, and learning skills
- Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate accommodations for students with varying learning needs
- Create a positive, structured, and academically rigorous classroom environment
- Communicate with school administration regarding student progress, academic concerns, and course delivery
- Prepare and maintain required course documentation for Ministry inspection purposes
- Collaborate with school administration and other teachers when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching ICS3U and/or ICS4U in an Ontario public school or Ministry-inspected private school is required
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Ministry of Education Computer Studies curriculum
- Strong understanding of Ontario secondary school assessment, evaluation, and reporting requirements
- Familiarity with Ministry-required course documentation, including course outlines, long-range plans, assessment records, and student portfolios
- Strong knowledge of computer science, programming, algorithms, software development, and problem-solving
- Experience teaching programming languages commonly used in Ontario secondary school computer science courses
- Robust classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to support students with different levels of academic ability and learning needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to academic documentation
- Ontario teaching experience is strongly preferred
- OCT certification is an asset but not necessarily required for candidates with strong relevant teaching experience
Position Details

- Employment Period: September 2026 to early December 2026
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 per week
