About the Role

micro1 is engaging French Audio Recording Experts (Canada) to contribute their advanced audio capture and linguistic expertise to an innovative customer project focused on developing next-generation AI systems.

In this role, you'll apply your expertise in Canadian French, English, and professional audio production to help create high-quality speech and language datasets. Your contributions will support how AI systems understand and learn from authentic regional speech patterns and linguistic data.

No prior experience in AI is required — your language and audio expertise are what matter.

Scope of Work

- Produce and deliver high-quality audio recordings in Canadian French and English, following project-specific technical and linguistic requirements.
- Transcribe recorded audio samples accurately, maintaining proper alignment between spoken content and written transcripts.
- Annotate audio files and transcripts with detailed metadata tags and relevant linguistic information to support AI training and data analysis.
- Apply rigorous attention to detail throughout audio recording, transcription, annotation, and quality-control processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain consistency, clarity, and quality across all submitted audio assets.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of recordings, transcripts, and metadata, identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies.
- Document and communicate findings, technical challenges, and process insights throughout the engagement.
- Follow established recording specifications, file formats, naming conventions,



and submission requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Native or near-native proficiency in Canadian French and professional fluency in English.
- Professional experience in audio engineering, sound recording, voice production, or a related audio field.
- Strong transcription and linguistic analysis skills, particularly familiarity with Canadian French pronunciation, vocabulary, and regional speech patterns.
- Experience with audio annotation, metadata tagging, or linguistic dataset preparation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to producing accurate, high-quality deliverables.
- Familiarity with professional audio recording equipment, digital audio workstations, and industry-standard recording software.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed specifications, and incorporate feedback with minimal oversight.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid for approved deliverables that meet the project specifications and quality requirements. The amount of work and time required may vary depending on the task and individual workflow. Minimum submission requirements may apply.

Start Timeline & Availability

We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts who are ready to start promptly. If selected, we expect you to begin contributing shortly after completing onboarding and receiving project instructions.
