Position Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas in a safe, effective, and timely manner. This position helps maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen while supporting overall food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up dishwashing stations, including filling dish machines, checking chemical levels, pre-soaking items, and preparing equipment required for the shift.
- Rinse and scrape dishes before loading and operating dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Ensure all clean dishware, cookware, utensils, and equipment are properly stored in designated locations.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment including hoods, filters, steam tables, carts, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, service areas, walls, and floors.
- Properly handle, use, and dispose of kitchen chemicals and grease in accordance with safety procedures.
- Inspect equipment and machinery and promptly report any malfunctions, hazards, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
- Empty and clean garbage containers and transport waste and recycling materials to designated disposal areas.
- Set up and maintain pot-washing stations according to established procedures.




- Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout the shift and after spills to maintain a safe work environment.
- Monitor dish machine chemicals and water temperatures to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with Culinary, Banquets, Restaurants, and Maintenance teams.
- Follow all Company, Brand, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and sanitation standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Friendly, reliable, and hospitality-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

- Carry, lift, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Remain standing and moving throughout the shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist.




- Handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment safely.
- Work in hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
