Supply Chain Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Supply Chain Supervisor to lead and optimize supply chain operations within a fast-paced furniture manufacturing environment.

This hands-on leadership position will oversee production planning, inventory control, procurement coordination, supplier relationships, and ERP-driven reporting. The successful candidate will use strong analytical and leadership skills to improve efficiency, maintain material availability, reduce costs, and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers, planners, and inventory coordinators.
- Coordinate material availability with production schedules and manufacturing requirements.
- Support MRP/MPS planning and optimize production schedules.
- Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods while minimizing shortages and excess inventory.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
- Resolve supplier delivery, quality, and material availability issues.
- Utilize ERP systems and Excel-based MRP tools to maintain accurate data and generate operational reports.
- Develop advanced Excel reports, dashboards, and macros to track KPIs and support decision-making.
- Analyze inventory turns, on-time delivery, supplier performance, and forecasting accuracy.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing lead times, improving efficiency, and lowering operating costs.
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

- 10+ years of supply chain/manufacturing experience,



including at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Manufacturing experience is required; furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or related industries is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Pivot Tables
- Complex formulas
- Data visualization
- Macros/script writing
- Strong ERP experience with systems such as AS400, Oracle, CMS, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, MRP/MPS, demand forecasting, and inventory control.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- APICS certification such as CPIM or CSCP, or equivalent.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- Experience with furniture-industry supply chain challenges, including wood sourcing, fabric procurement, and configurable products.
- Advanced reporting and data analytics capabilities in Excel.
