Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant (Kitchen/Butchery) to join our energetic food service team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced culinary environment while contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook dishes (ingredients, garnishes, sauces, dressings) according to established recipes.
- Prepare and set up for butchery (marinades, sausages, prepared products) according to established recipes.
- Control the quality of food (taste, temperature, freshness).
- Portion and package dishes.
- Ensure stock rotation by applying the FIFO method (first in, first out).
- Maintain rigorous cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and storage zones.
- Wash the dishes used during the shift according to standards (MAPAQ).
- Strictly apply the standards of health, safety, and food hygiene (MAPAQ).

Qualifications

- Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Training: Diploma in professional studies (DEP)



in institutional cooking or equivalent (an asset).
- Certifications: Valid food hygiene and safety certification.
- Skills: Excellent mastery of cutting techniques, cooking methods, and knives.
- Attributes: Good time management, teamwork spirit, and punctuality.
- Physical condition: Ability to stand for long periods and lift loads (up to 22 kg / 50 lb).
