Job Summary
Oak Bay Seafood is a fresh seafood market combined with a busy fish and chip take out kitchen. The kitchen also prepares a full line of soups, stocks and other items available for sale in the market. We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Kitchen helper. The job requires a combination of excellent customer service skills as well as some kitchen experience in food prep and working on the line. This position offers an chance to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering exceptional seafood and meal experiences.

Kitchen duties will include

- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, and assisting chef with orders.
- Following all food safety regulations during handling, and preparation of food service items.

In the kitchen you will need:





- Background in kitchen environment with knowledge of food safety standards and experience of food preparation techniques.
- To get familiar with multiple ordering apps for pick up and delivery.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment in an open kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Tips $5/hr cash additional to wage, The job will build out to full time during spring and summer.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
