VP Health is growing! We’re excited to welcome a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to our IV Lounge team.

You’ll play an important role in delivering IV nutrient therapy, iron infusions, and IM vitamin injections while creating a calm, welcoming experience for every patient who walks through our doors.

The Role

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 16 hours per week, with shifts primarily on Fridays and Saturdays from approximately 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

The LPN will independently manage IV therapy appointments, including starting and monitoring IVs for multiple patients throughout the day (up to six patients at a time), while maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, warm, clinically minded, and highly organized—someone who can work independently while being an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. You’ll work closely with our RN, Nurse Practitioner, and Naturopathic Doctor, with established protocols, recipes, and training provided.

What You’ll Do

- Administer IV nutrient therapy and IM vitamin injections
- Administer iron infusions according to established medical orders and protocols
- Initiate and monitor IVs, assessing patients throughout treatment for safety, comfort, and response
- Perform phlebotomy and blood draws with confidence and care
- Accurately compound IV nutrient bags according to established recipes
- Follow established medical protocols and treatment orders with precision
- Provide clear, professional education regarding IV treatments, procedures, and post-treatment care
- Document treatments, assessments, and patient interactions accurately in Jane App




- Maintain excellent infection control, sterilization, and safety practices
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming IV Lounge environment
- Provide a consistently positive and professional patient experience

What We’re Looking For

Required:

- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration in Alberta
- Confidence and experience starting IVs using IV catheters and/or butterfly needles. VP Health primarily uses butterfly needles.
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to patient safety
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage multiple patients
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical documentation
- Comfortable using computers, MacBooks, Google Workspace, and electronic medical records

IV Nutrient Certification:

An IV nutrient therapy certification as well as an iron infusion certification is required for this position. If we find the right candidate who does not yet have this certification, VP Health is happy to recommend appropriate training courses. The successful applicant will be responsible for the cost of obtaining the certifications.
