We are a thriving, privately owned veterinary dermatology practice with four locations, and our team is growing! With the addition of a new veterinarian, we are looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our St. Albert location.
This is a unique RVT role combining hands-on patient care with a strong administrative component. If you are passionate about patient care, client relationships, and expanding your knowledge in veterinary dermatology, then we’d love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Prepare patient samples for laboratory analysis
- Prepare for and assist with medical procedures
- Perform anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Admit and discharge patients and provide client home-care instructions
- Review and summarize medical records for upcoming appointments
- Triage client inquiries and determine appropriate next steps
- Communicate with clients by phone and email regarding patient care and follow-up
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient medical records
- Perform immunotherapy demonstrations, formulation, and inventory maintenance
Skills Required:
- Blood collection and catheter placement
- Low-stress patient handling
- Confidence and proficiency with anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Explicit and professional communication
- Organization and time management
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Compassionate, client-focused approach
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Computer proficiency; Cornerstone experience is an asset
Education & Experience:
- Graduate of a CVMA- or AVMA-accredited Animal Health or Veterinary Technology program
- Successful completion of the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
- Registered as an RVT in Alberta
- Minimum one year of experience working as an RVT
