Pacific Bark Blowers Inc. is looking for a reliable, hard-working Class 3 Driver (aka Blower Truck Operator) to join our team! This is a hands-on job for someone who’s not afraid of physical work and getting out to job sites across the Fraser Valley, Tri-Cities, Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

As a Class 3 Driver (aka Blower Truck Operator) you’ll be primarily responsible for driving, running our specialized blower truck equipment and helping install materials safely and efficiently. Home Base: Langley, B.C.

Work Location: Various locations throughout Fraser Valley and tri-cities, out in the field, based on client locations.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend, various start/end hours

Wage: $30.00 - $35.00/hr

ABOUT PACIFIC BARK BLOWERS INC.

Established in 1994, Pacific Bark Blowers is the first and the most experienced blower-truck company in Canada. Located in Burnaby, British Columbia, we specialize in the use of blower-trucks to install bark mulch, compost and soil products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment in accordance with Pacific Bark Blowers Inc. procedures.
- Travel to and from various job sites, including the Fraser Valley, Tri-Cities, Vancouver Island, and surrounding areas.
- Operate blower truck equipment, including onboard computer systems and remote-control technology, to perform blow-in installation services for landscaping and environmental applications (full training provided).
- Assist with hose setup and movement during applications and perform related manual labor tasks,



including lifting, climbing, moving materials, installing products, and operating loaders.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
- Provide qualified customer support on job sites, including client communication and problem-solving during installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe jobsite, performing cleanup and returning all equipment to Pacific Bark Blowers Inc. facilities after job completion.
- Ensure all tools and materials are secured, restocked, cleaned, and organized for future use.
- Adhere to all Company and WorkSafe safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

IMPORTANT EXTRAS FOR THIS ROLE

- This role is considered to be physically labour intensive, approximately 55%, it requires frequent walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, ladder climbing, lifting/maneuvering heavy equipment and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- This role encompasses consistent driving, approximately 45%, throughout the Fraser Valley, including but not limited to the tri-cities, Vancouver and Vancouver Island. There are some opportunities to do over-night work when travelling longer distances as required.
- This role involves installation of materials on rooftops at varying heights
- Some materials installed may produce dust or airborne particles that could cause irritation for individuals with respiratory sensitivities; safety controls and PPE are provided to mitigate exposure.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- MUST have a valid and clean Class 3 Driver’s License




- MUST be comfortable operating a manual transmission
- MUST prioritize working safely in the workplace and around heavy equipment.
- MUST demonstrate problem-solving skills and be able to pivot effectively in time-sensitive scenarios.
- MUST be an effective team player and collaborate with all employees, customers and public.
- WHMIS, Fall Protection Certification, Slinging/Rigging Certification and Safety Supervision Certification is considered an asset but is not required Landscape, construction, or environmental services experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in outdoor environments.
- Basic understanding of mathematical principles related to estimating and placing bulk materials (e.g., volume, depth, coverage).
- Ability to work safely and efficiently around heavy equipment.
- Ability to quickly learn and operate pneumatic blower truck equipment.

This position is deemed as a Safety Sensitive position and will require negative result for pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing in order to complete offer of employment for anyone who will be operating heavy equipment or company vehicles.
