Under the direction and guidance of the VP Audio Visual, the Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager leads corporate AV installation projects from hand-off through completion and client turnover. This role manages a range of projects, from AV retrofits and technology upgrades to complex installations in new construction and commercial environments.

Working closely with clients, internal teams, contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and other stakeholders, the Project Manager is responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope and budget, while ensuring quality, effective communication, risk management, and client satisfaction.

General Responsibilities

Project Management:

- Manage AV projects from kickoff through installation, commissioning, client acceptance, and project closeout
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate resources, monitor budgets, track progress, and ensure project requirements are clearly communicated to all stakeholders
- Identify potential risks and issues proactively, and work with project teams to implement practical solutions
- Drive projects forward by coordinating activities, managing deliverables, and ensuring client commitments are met on time and within scope

Client & Stakeholder Communication:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear, professional communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide regular project updates, manage expectations, coordinate meetings and address client questions or concerns
- Collaborate closely with general contractors, architects, facilities teams, IT departments, consultants, and other project stakeholders to support successful project delivery

Construction & Installation Coordination:

- Coordinate AV installations within both existing corporate environments and newconstruction projects




- Manage retrofit projects by coordinating work around existing systems, occupied spaces,network infrastructure, and other site conditions
- Coordinate AV requirements for new construction projects, ensure pathways, cabling, power, equipment locations, millwork, and technology spaces are delivered according to project requirements and timelines
- Participate in construction meetings, conduct site walks, review drawings, and proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact AV installations

Budget & Scope Management:

- Manage project budgets and track labour, equipment, subcontractor, shipping, and other project costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Review project scope and coordinate change orders for additional work or client-requested modifications
- Maintain strong financial oversight to support project profitability while meeting client and project requirements

Scheduling & Procurement:

- Work closely with purchasing teams and vendors to monitor equipment availability, manage lead times, and address potential delays
- Coordinate installation, programming, commissioning, testing, training, and client acceptance activities to ensure each project phase is effectively planned and executed

Your Skills and Experience

- Minimum 3 years’ experience; preferably in the AV, technology, construction or related industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, scheduling tools, and related business applications
- Experience managing multiple commercial, corporate, or technology installation projects and coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams through all project phases

Certifications

Certifications are preferred but not required. Equivalent project management experience and a demonstrated track record of successful project delivery will also be considered.

The following certifications would be considered an asset:





- AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)
- AVIXA CTS-I (Installation)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
- Construction, site safety, or workplace health and safety certifications preferred
- Manufacturer and technology certifications (e.g., Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Dante, Shure, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms)
- Networking, structured cabling, or related infrastructure certifications
- Strong AV project management experience may be considered in lieu of certifications

Work Conditions

- Combination of office work, client meetings, corporate facilities, construction sites, and AV installation environments
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work based on project schedule and client requirements

Pay: $70,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
