Registered Dental Assistant (RDA II)

Part-Time, Moving Toward Full-Time | West Edmonton, AB

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA II) to join a brand-new dental clinic in West Edmonton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys helping build a clinic from the ground up and wants to play an important role in developing a strong, patient-focused team.

The position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition into full-time as the clinic grows. Candidates must have flexible availability, including early mornings starting at 7:00 a.m. and evenings until 7:00 p.m., 8 hours shifts.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is confident, organized, adaptable, and comfortable taking initiative in a new-clinic environment. You will help establish efficient clinical systems, maintain exceptional standards of patient care, and support the training and development of future dental assistants.

Qualifications

- Registered Dental Assistant Level II certification in good standing
- Minimum of two years of RDA II experience
- Availability for shifts beginning at 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 7:00 p.m.
- Previous experience opening or working in a new dental clinic
- Experience training, mentoring, or supporting other dental assistants
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused approach
- Ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team culture

Key Responsibilities

- Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments,



and materials
- Follow all sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Assist with establishing clinical systems and workflows
- Support the onboarding and training of new RDA team members
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Educate patients and help create a comfortable, positive experience
- Monitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory organization
- Help maintain an efficient, organized, and high-performing clinical environment
- Support the dentist and broader team as the practice grows

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
