SafeStart is a family-run workplace safety training company that was founded in 1975 as Electrolab Limited. We are leaders in Human Factors Management, with our primary mission being the reduction of preventable death and injury, both on and off the job. Accidental injuries and death are a worldwide epidemic. A preventable-injury-related death occurs every three minutes. Over the last 15 years, more than 2.5 million people have gone through the SafeStart training program. Who You Are
At SafeStart, the Client Growth Manager employs a high level, consultative sales approach to drive revenue growth. We are currently searching for a dynamic, passionate, assertive,
and competitive person with an enthusiasm for achieving sales results to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy managing complex sales cycles with executive level clientele at large, global organizations. They will be expected to use a proactive approach to prospect and uncover opportunities within new organizations and/or inactive clients.
The Client Growth Manager is responsible for identifying and uncovering new opportunities through prospecting and referrals and nurturing those sales opportunities from identification to close.
The successful candidate may also want to invest in a cape since we measure our success by the number of lives saved—it’s very empowering.
A Day in the Life of a Client Growth Manager
- Pipeline development – conduct discovery calls, position SafeStart and win sales opportunities
- Prospect (cold call) and engage with key influencers at organizations
- Keep up to date CRM data with accurate customer and pipeline information
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop monthly and annual sales strategies and analyses, set quotas, implement sales action plans
- Attend conferences, tradeshows, workshops, and other events as needed (2-3 times per year)
- General office administration duties
Need to Haves
- Post-secondary diploma or degree
- Proven B2B sales success in prospecting, cold calling, and winning high dollar amount sales over the phone
- Consultative and solution-based selling knowledge and experience
- Proven ability to penetrate and engage conversations at the executive level
- Experience managing and winning complex sales cycles
- Demonstrated success at maintaining a consistent call/activity volume and achieving measurable goals
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and listening
- Strong computer literacy – CRM, MS Office Suite
- Passionate, creative, driven, and customer focused
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Valid passport and ability to travel within North America
- Ability to maintain confidential information
Nice to Haves
- A proven track record of success selling into enterprise accounts; over-achieving quota (top 10-20% of company) in past roles
Just the Facts
- Full-time, permanent
- The successful candidate must live close enough to the office to be present for onboarding (first 6 months in-office), in-person meetings or direct support requests
- Hybrid role. After onboarding, minimum 2 working days in-office per week (Tues & Thurs)
- Flexible working hours (35-40 hours/week)
- Base salary + uncapped commissions (commissions paid monthly)
