Mill Street Florist is looking for artistic, enthusiastic individuals to grow with us! We are looking for someone with positive energy, an upbeat attitude and a passion for flowers.
The successful candidate will create high quality & elegant hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements & oasis arrangements by request for customers, along with boutonnieres, corsages, funeral pieces. Therefore, knowledge of floral design mechanics and a strong sense of design is a must.
* At least 1 year of experience in floral design
* Ability to work with POS and computer skills
* Valid Driver's license

Responsibilities will include ( but limited to):
* Proper preparation of florals prior to design
* Cleaning & Organizing
* Maintaining the flower fridge
* Plant care & design
* General retail store maintenance duties
* Working with and taking direction from the Lead Florist
* Taking telephone orders
* Computer skills




* Occasional deliveries when required

Skills/ Capabilities:

Candidates must have customer service experience as this is a retail-oriented position
* Must be able to lift 20 lbs ( buckets of water)
* Attention to detail
* Flexible and able to work within fixed deadlines, in a fast-paced setting
* A valid Ontario driver's license, and be able to provide a drivers abstract
* Language skills: English, French is an asset

Hours of work:
* Between 9 am to 4 pm
5 days per week and must be available to work more during holidays, ie: Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day and Thanksgiving.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
