Our Calgary client, a rapidly growing organization in the energy sector, is seeking a talented and driven Electrical Design / Project Manager to join its team.

This position combines electrical design and technical project coordination with responsibility for leading projects from initial concept through completion. Working closely with the VP of Engineering, you will take ownership of projects requiring strong electrical knowledge, detailed design and comprehensive planning.
This role combines hands-on electrical design with responsibility for managing projects from initial concept through engineering, procurement, construction and completion.

Working closely with the VP of Engineering, you will lead the electrical design and technical execution of major projects while acting as a key point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop electrical designs from initial concept through detailed engineering and construction
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations and design packages
- Develop single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, equipment specifications and cable schedules
- Complete load calculations and support the selection and sizing of electrical equipment
- Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards and client requirements
- Coordinate electrical design requirements with other engineering disciplines, vendors and field teams
- Define project scope,



design requirements, deliverables and potential new opportunities
- Develop comprehensive project schedules with clearly defined activities and milestones
- Prepare technical and commercial project proposals
- Identify long-lead equipment and critical-path activities
- Oversee procurement for assigned projects, including technical review of vendor submissions
- Lead client communication and prepare regular project reports
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and project closeout
- Identify and mitigate technical, scheduling and project risks

The Successful Candidate Has:

- Demonstrated electrical design and project management experience required.
- Knowledge of applicable Canadian electrical codes and industry standards
- Project engineering or project management experience
- Field construction, commissioning or start-up experience
- Robust client-management and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing organization

Compensation and Benefits:

- $110,000 to $120,000, dependent on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package
