Overview

We are a well-established and rapidly growing flooring and stair materials retail company with multiple locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As one of the larger flooring and stair material retailers in the region, we provide a wide range of quality flooring, stair, railing, trim, and related building products to homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, and other industry professionals.

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused, and results-oriented Stair & Flooring Sales Representative to join our growing team.

Job Summary

The Stair & Flooring Sales Representative is responsible for providing professional customer service, recommending suitable flooring and stair products, preparing quotations, processing sales orders, and developing long-term relationships with customers and trade professionals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, enjoys working with customers, has strong communication skills, and is willing to learn about flooring and stair products and the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in the showroom and provide qualified product recommendations based on their needs, preferences, and budget.

Promote and sell flooring, stair treads, risers, stair nosings, railings, trims, moldings, and other related building materials.

Explain product features, specifications, colours, styles, pricing, availability, and installation options to customers.

Prepare accurate quotations, sales orders, invoices, and product estimates.

Review customer measurements, drawings,



and project details to recommend appropriate products and quantities.

Follow up with customers on quotations, orders, deliveries, and project schedules.

Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, designers, renovators, and other trade customers.

Identify sales opportunities and actively work toward achieving individual and company sales targets.

Coordinate with warehouse, delivery, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure orders are accurate and completed on schedule.

Respond to customer inquiries and resolve product, order, or service-related issues in a professional manner.

Provide excellent pre-sale and after-sale customer service.

Maintain an organized and professional showroom and ensure product samples and displays are properly presented.

Keep up to date with new products, market trends, and industry developments.

Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the company’s POS, CRM, or inventory systems.

Work collaboratively with team members across different company locations when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience in sales, retail, flooring, stairs, construction materials, renovation, or a related industry is an asset.

Strong customer service,



communication, and interpersonal skills.

Be patient, helpful, kindly, polite, also good at studying and teamwork.

Sales-driven attitude with the ability to identify customer needs and close sales.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic understanding of measurements and construction terminology.

Ability to read basic floor plans, drawings, or project specifications is an asset.

Comfortable using computers, POS systems, email, and Microsoft Office.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced showroom environment.

Flooring, stair, construction, or renovation product knowledge is an asset; training will be provided.

Must be professional, reliable, punctual, and customer-oriented.

Availability to work retail hours, including weekends when required.

Pay: $45,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
