Journeyman Carpenter - Vegreville, AB
Our client is an established construction firm with deep roots in North Central Alberta and the Vegreville area, serving the community since 1975. Our client is currently looking for a skilled Carpenter to lead a team of tradespeople and oversee on-site operations. If you have a strong background in construction and a knack for leadership, our client wants to hear from you.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project managers, tradespeople, and site supervisors to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to guide on-site activities.
- Lead a team of 3–5 workers, delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Assist in planning and laying out construction floor plans, including concrete and structural layouts.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, finishing, concrete foundation work, and exterior cladding installation.
- Install windows, doors, and other structural components with precision and attention to detail.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential risks or areas for improvement.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Qualifications
- Journeyman Carpentry certification or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on carpentry or related trades.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits.
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, standing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
