Pizza Maker – Ignite Pizzeria Mount Pleasant & Yaletown

Ignite Pizzeria is hiring Pizza Makers for two Vancouver locations: Mount Pleasant and Yaletown.

About Ignite Pizzeria

Ignite Pizzeria first opened its doors in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood in 2017, followed by Gastown, Yaletown, South Surrey, and now our new North Vancouver location. We create handmade artisanal pizza baked in a stone-fired oven, with a focus on quality, consistency, and hospitality.

We take pride in our handcrafted pizzas, fresh ingredients, welcoming atmosphere, and the care we bring to both our guests and our team.

The Position

We are looking for Pizza Makers to join our kitchen team. This role includes preparing handcrafted pizzas, working with a stone-fired oven, preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting the team during busy service.

Positions are available for full-time and part-time team members.

Pay depends on experience. In addition to hourly wages, team members receive tips, which average approximately $3–$4 per hour.

Responsibilities

- Prepare handcrafted pizzas with care, consistency, and attention to quality
- Work with a stone-fired oven in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Stretch dough, sauce pizzas, add toppings, and prepare orders accurately




- Prepare ingredients for a variety of pizza toppings and menu items
- Follow recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen space
- Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and prep checklists
- Support other kitchen team members during busy service
- Help with stock rotation, ingredient organization, and inventory
- Assist with other kitchen or service duties as needed
- Work as part of a positive and reliable team

Requirements

- Professional Neapolitan, stone-fired, or hand-crafted pizza making experience is preferred
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler, or equivalent certification is an asset
- Friendly, positive, and passionate work ethic
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment
- English language required
