Lead the Practice. Build the Team. Elevate the Patient Experience.
Central Calgary Periodontics is looking for an experienced Office Manager to take a leadership role in the day-to-day operations and continued growth of our specialty periodontal practice.
This isn’t simply an administrative position. We’re looking for someone who wants to own the operation of the practice, lead a great team, create an exceptional experience for patients and referring offices, and work closely with our Periodontist & clinical teams to continually grow the business.
If you’re the person who naturally sees what needs to be done, brings solutions instead of just problems, loves adopting and finding new technologies and automations; and enjoys creating structure in a busy dental environment, we’d love to meet you.
The Opportunity - As our Office Manager, you’ll be the operational leader of the practice.
You’ll have the autonomy to lead the administrative team, improve how the office operates, oversee the patient and referral experience, manage the business side of the practice, and ensure our team has what it needs to succeed.
Your role will include:
- Leading, coaching and supporting our administrative team
- Creating an exceptional experience for patients from referral through treatment
- Building strong relationships with referring dental offices
- Overseeing scheduling, treatment coordination and patient financial processes
- Monitoring practice performance and key business metrics
- Improving systems, workflows and office processes
- Supporting hiring, onboarding and team development
- Managing suppliers,
expenses and day-to-day business operations
- Partnering with the Periodontist on practice growth and continuous improvement
Most importantly, you’ll be trusted run the business.
We want an Office Manager who can identify an issue, understand what’s causing it, recommend a solution and move it forward. Someone who is quick to adopt new technology, loves automation and breathes efficiency.
Who We’re Looking For: You’re an experienced office leader who enjoys people, business and technology.
You’re organized without being rigid, confident without needing to control everything, and comfortable having the conversations that come with leading a team.
You likely have:
- Experience managing a dental, healthcare or professional practice
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Knowledge of perio scheduling, billing, insurance and patient administration
- Strong business and financial instincts
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to prioritize and make decisions in a busy environment
- Confidence learning and using technology and practice-management systems
Experience in a periodontal,
oral surgery or dental specialty practice would be a significant asset, but we’re equally interested in strong leaders who can learn our specialty.
You’ll Thrive Here If You…
- Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do
- See problems and immediately start thinking about solutions
- Enjoy developing people and building strong teams
- Care deeply about the patient experience
- Understand that a excellent healthcare practice also needs to be a well-run business
- Can move comfortably between people, patients, software, numbers and operations
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Like improving things instead of accepting “that’s how we’ve always done it”
