We are seeking an experienced and compassionate General Manager to lead the operations of our retirement residence. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all departments, ensuring high-quality resident care, managing staff, maintaining compliance with legislative standards, and fostering a warm, respectful setting for residents and team members.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

- Oversee day-to-day operations, including financial, human, and physical resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Lead and support staff with recruitment, training, evaluations, and scheduling.
- Maintain and ensure high standards in resident care, housekeeping, dietary services, and safety.
- Liaise with inspectors, healthcare professionals, and higher management.




- Promote risk management, infection control, and emergency preparedness protocols.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a managerial role, ideally within a retirement or long-term care setting, is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of senior care needs and empathy toward residents and families.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism.

Requirements:

- Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- TB testing and up-to-date immunizations.
- CPR Certification.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
