Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Position Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to support product quality, process improvement, and quality assurance initiatives at our Saskatoon manufacturing location. This role will help ensure products meet internal and customer quality standards by developing quality plans, supporting inspections, facilitating corrective actions, conducting audits, maintaining quality metrics, and investigating warranty concerns.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of Quality Assurance principles, excellent attention to detail, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with manufacturing and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and implement Product Quality Plans.
- Develop Inspection & Test Plans, SOPs, and other QA documentation.
- Train new and existing employees on quality expectations and processes.
- Facilitate the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) process and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
- Support the achievement of assigned quality goals and objectives.
- Conduct process and procedure audits to verify compliance and present findings.
- Maintain location-specific quality metrics and prepare monthly quality reports.
- Investigate warranty claims and customer complaints and communicate findings to Operations.
- Identify warranty trends and recommend preventative measures.
- Perform or coordinate tool and equipment calibrations as required.
- Use quality metrics and data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Assist with the development and improvement of QA standards, procedures, and processes.




- Collaborate with QA team members and other manufacturing locations.
- Promote a proactive Quality Assurance culture with a focus on preventing issues rather than simply identifying defects.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Familiarity with Quality Assurance principles, concepts, and practices.
- Ability to interpret codes, standards, specifications, engineering drawings, and related technical documentation.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and practices.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives while working quickly, accurately, and thoroughly.
- Strong attention to detail and a diligent, organized approach to work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with employees and stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
- Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to influence and support others in achieving quality objectives.
- Strong commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction.
