Student Cashier/Customer Service Clerk

We here at Stone’s Pharmasave are seeking a friendly and detail-orientated part-time Cashier Customer Service Clerk to join our team. A successful candidate would provide exceptional customer service, handle transaction efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities and a professional demeanor, also dependable and punctual.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, using POS system.

· Process transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit/debit payments.

· Provide product information and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities.

· Maintain clean and organized checkout areas throughout shifts.

· Assist customers with inquiries, returns or exchanges in a courteous manner.

· Support inventory management through merchandising and stock replenishment as needed.

· Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls and inquiries.

Requirements

· Previous experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service, considered an asset.

· Robust communication skills in English.





· Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.

· Proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with retail technology tools, considered an asset.

· Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities, to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.

· Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism and patience.

Work Hours and Environment

· Standard shifts (typically 8-21 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends)

· Extended periods of standing, walking, bending and stair climbing, .

· Strong commitment to workplace safety procedures.

Salary and Benefits
