Business Decision Support Professional – Level 2
- Pay Rate: $83.24/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a Business Decision Support Professional – Level 2 on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business professional to support strategic decision-making, business transformation, process improvement, and operational initiatives within a complex and regulated environment. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description
The Business Decision Support Professional Level 2 facilitates complex decision-making in support of business change and improvement initiatives. This role combines strategic business analysis, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, technical documentation, and decision support.
The successful candidate will bring strong business analysis experience, advanced documentation and process-mapping skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to develop practical, high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Decision Support
- Translate business insights into strategic and actionable recommendations.
- Gather, organize, and analyze business information to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct strategic business analysis focused on business drivers, risks, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Develop solutions that align with business requirements and organizational objectives.
- Support successful implementation and adoption of business initiatives.
Process Improvement & Transformation
- Facilitate workshops with Subject Matter Experts, stakeholders, and implementation consultants.
- Gather and document business requirements and process information.
- Develop current-state and future-state process designs.
- Identify process gaps, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key working processes and tracking spreadsheets.
- Produce high-quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
and key decision documents.
- Ensure process solutions are viable and satisfy defined business requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Facilitate alignment and decision-making across business teams.
- Communicate recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide training, technical guidance, and direction to team members as required.
- Contribute effectively as a collaborative member of project teams.
Documentation & Systems
- Develop qualified business and technical documentation.
- Create process maps and workflow documentation using Microsoft Visio.
- Maintain SharePoint lists and related content.
- Develop and maintain Excel-based tracking and reporting tools.
Support enterprise-wide systems and tools, including SAP, SharePoint, and Passport.
Qualifications
- 11+ years of directly related experience in business analysis, business support, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of strategic business analysis experience or equivalent.
- Strong experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Strong SharePoint experience, including creating and maintaining lists and content.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong technical writing and business documentation skills.
- Experience with process improvement, operational readiness, or business transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a complex workplace.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting telecommunications, utilities,
or Smart Metering Infrastructure (SMI) initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise documentation standards and governance practices.
- Experience with SAP, SharePoint, Passport, Microsoft Project, query tools, and management reporting systems.
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Experience providing training and technical guidance to other team members.
- Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Additional Information
- Location: Edmonds office, Burnaby, BC.
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum 2 days per week in the office.
- Preference will be given to candidates located in the Lower Mainland.
- Every contractor must supply their own Windows 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
- Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
