Position Overview
Within the Ambulatory Clinics, the Multidisciplinary clerk acts as a receptionist, greeting and registering patients; completing all necessary paperwork for the admission process; providing clerical support; taking phone calls or seeing patients in person; scheduling appointments for multiple clinics and physicians; preparing and distributing consultant schedules and assigning consultation rooms; arranging for outpatient clinic tests or referring patients for outpatient consultations with specialists and compiling data for routine reports etc. All this while ensuring confidentiality of information.

- CURRENT SCHEDULE: during the day, on weekdays

As a pre-condition of employment:
- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.

What we are looking for
- High School diploma.
- Basic Computer Courses and / or Certification in medical terminology and / or course related to the health community preferred
Qualifications:
- 3 to 6 months of experience in a similar position (clerical tasks)
- Customer service ability
- Knowledge and skills of MsOffice suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of Administrative Medical software
- Attention to detail in data entering
- Communicate effectively in both languages (oral and written)
- Discretion, professionalism
- Empathy and compassion, able to work with a customer in distress
- Ability to write short notes, brief forms, instructions or notes in the patient record
- Read simple documents such as referrals and forms or brief instructions
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of clinical documents
- Using AIDET in communication
- Must have a valuable attendance record.
- Must have positive attitude and compliant to HGH’s values
- Satisfactory review of the Human resources file
