We’re excited to announce that an prospect has opened for a full-time Certified Marine Technician! This role is best suited for a technician with marine experience, skills and qualifications who takes pride in quality workmanship and efficiency. If you have a passion and the hands on experience for the Marine Industry. We would love for you to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Marine Service Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full rigging of boats (for Yamaha, Suzuki, or Mercury)
- Installing, servicing, and repairs of marine electronic equipment
- Test, adjust, and troubleshoot components, PCBs, sub-assemblies, antennas as well as, load, update, and modify software
- Utilize knowledge to address a variety of technical problems and make intelligent use of schematics, blueprints, and manuals to accurately achieve assignments
- Set up and pre-delivery inspections of marine products, boats, outboards
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repair of marine products and outboards
- Excellent mechanical skills and the ability to work on his / her own
- Have the required tools
- Has computer knowledge, being familiar with Windows programs
- Possess a valid class 5 or higher driver’s license.
- Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in marine products
- Certified marine technician (preferred)
- Experience in the marine industry (preferred)
- Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, or Suzuki outboards (preferred)
- Computer skills
- Ready to work with own tools

Brands of Marine Products that will be worked on include: Yamaha & Suzuki Outboards, G3 Boats, Coastal Boats, Bennington Pontoons, White River Marine Group as well as Power Equipment such as, Power Washers, Gas & Diesel Generators, Water Pumps. Compensation is based on experience. This position will include full benefits after 6 months of working.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay.
Experience:
- 2 years experience as a Marine Technician. (preferred)

Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a wide range of marine vessels and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques, then execute repairs promptly and accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, or replace faulty components on engines, propulsion systems, electrical systems, and hull structures.
- Conduct system tests to verify proper operation after repairs or maintenance procedures are completed.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and inspection results.
- Assist in troubleshooting complex mechanical problems by analyzing technical data and applying industry best practices.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Certified Marine Technician with relevant industry certifications demonstrating expertise in marine systems.
- Proven mechanical knowledge of boat engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and propulsion mechanisms.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and socket sets.
- Experience using power tools like drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and saws for repair tasks.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports clearly and accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
