The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for the machining process of all mineral exploration product manufactured at the Drillers Edge facility which includes Drill Rods, Casing, Diamond Product and Coring Tools while adhering to all Di-Corp’s quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

- Identification of cutting tools and inserts, monitor tool life, adjust offsets as needed and change inserts.
- Start up, shut down and restart of CNC lathe. Pre/ post shift PM including cleaning, refilling coolant, way lube and reporting of any malfunctions.
- Knowledge and operation of basic CNC cell equipment such as rod racks, stampers, chip conveyors, heat treats etc.
- Verifying product to engineered drawings/ specs using basic measuring equipment such as gauges, dial calipers and micrometers.
- Inspect, maintain and care of precision measuring tools.
- Setup lathes by selecting proper tooling, chuck jaws, spindle rings etc.




- Ability to read and understand basic programing and make minor changes/ adjustments as needed (feeds and speeds, tool numbers, tapers etc.).
- Perform regular product inspections such as first offs, in-process, and visual inspections including taper checks and make and breaks.

​​Minimum Required Education:​

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-Secondary Trade Certificate or Diploma is an asset.

​​Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:​

- Good numeracy skills and basic mathematical knowledge.
- Understanding of measuring units and conversions.
- Mechanically inclined and attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working in a quick-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

- Lift / Carry weights to 50 lbs.
- Push / Pull weights to 150 lbs.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Work in cold/outdoor conditions as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
