ABOUT THE ROLE
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for sampling and testing of readymix concrete, aggregates, and block products to ensure they meet established quality standards and specifications. As a front-line representative of Amrize, the position requires travel between job sites and interaction with customers to address quality-related inquiries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production environment where quality is at the forefront of everything we do.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
● Test concrete, aggregates, blocks, and raw materials to ensure product quality and compliance with CSA/CCIL requirements
● Evaluate material properties, monitor product performance, and work with plants and suppliers to maintain quality standards
● Monitor concrete pours and provide on-site technical support to ensure products meet customer specifications.
● Conduct field investigations, troubleshoot product issues, and provide solutions to improve customer operations
● Communicate product performance findings through professional reports and correspondence with customers and internal teams
● Support product development initiatives and contribute to resolving long-term product performance challenges.
● Optimize concrete production processes through concrete mix design analysis, development, and performance improvements.
● Support research and development of new concrete products while addressing long-term product performance challenges.
● Promote Amrize products, develop customer relationships, and provide technical expertise to support customer needs and business objectives
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: Diploma or Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering Technology/Civil Engineering
Required Work Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
Required Training/Certifications:
Class 5 Driver’s License
Required Technical Skills: MS Office, Google Workspace
Travel Requirements: Daily travel to and from worksites (Company vehicle provided)
Additional Requirements:
● C.E.T. designation preferred
● Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
● Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
● Good presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
● Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.

● Ability to work effectively in both indoor and outdoor environments.
● Physically fit and able to work extended hours as required.
● Ability to perform a variety of tasks, including moderate to heavy lifting.
● Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
