411 Seniors Centre provides senior-led programs and services that mobilizes older adults’ diverse strengths, talents, interests and expertise to the benefit of fellow older adults and the community at large. We are seeking a Seniors Services Coordinator to oversee our Seniors Services which include our Navigation and Peer Support Program (NPS), the Community Volunteer Income Tax Clinic (Tax Clinic) and Legal Services. The Seniors Services Coordinator will assist and support our NPS, tax and legal volunteers who provide these services.
This is a temporary position replacing a regular staff member on leave.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery of Seniors Services
- Coordinates, schedules and assigns senior volunteers to provide front line 411 Seniors Services in our NPS, tax and legal clinics
- Occasionally provides front line Seniors Services to members and other clients
- Supports 411’s Seniors Services volunteers with IT assistance, resources, issues expertise, information, coaching and troubleshooting;
- Coordinates and facilitates regular meetings with NPS and other volunteers
- Maintains and distributes appropriate resources to 411 volunteers
- Ensures appropriate client file systems and data collection including compliance with privacy laws, regulations and policy
- Ensures collection and analysis of Seniors Services statistics
- Provides reporting on Seniors Services activities as required
Other Responsibilities
- Collaborates with other organizations as needed
- Assists with communications and marketing needs as required
What You Offer
- Post-secondary degree in Social Work, Community Development, Gerontology, Public Health, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3 years of experience in leading seniors’ services, healthcare, or community-based programming.
- Strong understanding of the needs and issues affecting older adults, including social determinants of health • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and client information systems
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and provide empathetic support to volunteers and colleagues

Pay: $30.00 per hour
