Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Acupuncturist to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a thorough understanding of acupuncture and pain management techniques. As an Acupuncturist, you will play an important role in assessing and treating patients with a variety of conditions, helping them improve their health, function, and overall well-being through individualized treatment approaches.

Duties

- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including health history and relevant physical assessments.
- Develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans based on patient needs and conditions.
- Provide acupuncture treatments using appropriate techniques and modalities.
- Treat a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, chronic pain, headaches, neck and back pain, and other applicable conditions.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies when appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a protected, clean, and professional treatment environment.
- Stay current with advancements in acupuncture, pain management, and related healthcare practices.
- Follow all applicable professional, regulatory,



and clinic standards.

Experience & Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Acupuncture from an accredited institution.
- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body in Alberta, as applicable.
- Valid professional liability insurance.
- Previous experience in pain management and patient care is preferred.
- Experience treating musculoskeletal and chronic pain conditions is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Excellent clinical documentation and organizational skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
