Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker who speaks Tagalog fluently to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in need of support. In this vital role, you will help enhance the quality of life for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness by delivering personalized care in various settings such as private homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes. Your energetic approach and positive attitude will empower clients to maintain independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and comfort every day.

Responsibilities

- Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
- Provide patient care by monitoring health status, administering medications as prescribed, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual needs
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe workplace for clients
- Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful conversations and activities
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting tasks safely using proper techniques and equipment when necessary




- Document care provided accurately in client records and communicate effectively with family members or healthcare teams

Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Personal Support Worker or in similar caregiving roles, preferably with assisted living or nursing home experience
- Strong background in patient care, senior care, hospice care, dementia care, or home care environments
- Familiarity with caring for individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks comfortably
- Excellent communication skills in Tagalog; fluency is required to effectively support clients who speak the language
- Knowledge of medication administration, meal preparation, cleaning, and general caregiving best practices
- Certification or training in nursing assistance or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
