One of our clients is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing CNC machine shop located in Uxbridge, ON. The company specializes in the production of small, intricate aluminum parts and the development of automation and fixtures for manufacturing applications.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded machinist with robust CNC programming, setup, and machining experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes while ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to specified tolerances.

Job Responsibilities

- Program, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting tools, workholding and machining parameters.
- Machine small and intricate aluminum components to specified tolerances.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot programming, tooling,



setup and machining issues.
- Make program and machine adjustments to maintain part quality and accuracy.
- Assist with the development and fabrication of fixtures, tooling and automation.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.

Requirements

- Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, CNC Machining, Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Advanced/proficient Mastercam programming experience is mandatory.
- Must be able to program independently in Mastercam with minimal training.
- Familiarity with Haas CNC machines.
- Strong experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T; knowledge.
- Experience with tooling selection and precision machining.
- Ability to consistently work within specified tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
