Part Time/ Fill In- Transfer Station Operator/Waste Collector

Location: Fogo Island

Under the direction of the Manager of Operation, this position will be responsible for the Operation of the Local Transfer Station and Waste Collection on Fogo Island.

This position is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the LWMF building and grounds, at the Transfer station. At this site materials are collected, sorted and transferred to and from the local transfer station. Also includes the collection of residential waste on Fogo Island.

Qualifications: Graduation from High school, three (3) years’ experience in Waste Management or similar work environment (Operating a backhoe), good oral and written communication, computer skills, and a valid Class 3 driver’s license.

Salary: $29.63/hr
