Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Commercial Truck Shop Helper, Assistant, or Jr Technician to join our expanding team. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment. You will assist skilled technicians with maintenance, repairs, and operational tasks while developing your mechanical skills in a supportive environment.

Duties

- Assist senior technicians with routine maintenance and repair tasks on trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform basic repairs and assembly work
- Support heavy lifting activities using forklifts or other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Help with vehicle inspections, including checking schematics and electrical systems to identify issues
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop area and organize tools and parts for effective workflow
- Learn to operate heavy machinery such as excavators,



cranes, or other industrial equipment under supervision
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all shop activities to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

- 1 to 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT REPAIR SHOP is REQUIRED
- Basic mechanical knowledge with familiarity in hand tools, power tools, and schematics
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience working with commercial trucks and trailers, heavy equipment, HVAC systems, welding, brake, tire, suspension, or electrical systems is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Willingness to learn about heavy equipment shop operations and required skills in this industry
- Valid driver’s license preferred; certification in forklift operation or industrial equipment is a plus

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
