Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dining Room Server to join our team at Terroir! The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Dining Room Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality food and service. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management and the rest of our fabulous dining room team.

Duties

- Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive in the dining area.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and promotions.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all dishes are prepared according to health regulations.
- Respond to guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, providing excellent guest services.




- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise during service.
- Support team members during busy shifts by managing time effectively and assisting where needed.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
