Big Hearts Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Health Care Assistant (HCA) to work in a care facility in Surrey, BC.

We are looking for someone with robust Long-Term Care/facility experience who can provide safe, respectful, and professional care to residents.

MUST HAVE:

- HCA registered in BC
- 1+ year of Long-Term Care / Facility experience
- Medication Administration Certificate
- First Aid/CPR Certificate
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Recent Criminal Record Check
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and compassionate
- Clear Criminal Record Check

JOB DUTIES:

- Assist residents with AM care and personal care
- Assist with ADLs, mobility, transfers, and walking
- Escort residents to the dining room, salon, activities, and exercise programs
- Assist residents with meals
- Provide companionship and safety checks
- Assist with catheter bag drainage and changes
- Assist with medication-related duties as directed by the nurse and within your scope
- Monitor residents and report any changes or concerns to the nurse
- Complete resident documentation and care notes
- Work closely with HCAs, nurses,



and the facility team
- Follow all facility policies and resident care plans
