Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Structural Welder to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled welder who is equally comfortable working in the shop on fabrication projects and performing in office installation and erection work.

The successful candidate will have strong structural welding experience, excellent fabrication skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in both shop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural welding using SMAW (Stick) processes in all positions.
- Complete on-site structural steel installation, erection, and welding.
- Perform shop-based fabrication, fitting, and welding of structural steel components.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, welding symbols, and structural drawings.
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fit, align, tack, and weld structural steel components to specifications.
- Perform field modifications, repairs, and installation as required.
- Work with other welders, fabricators, and site personnel to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and job-site safety.
- Follow company procedures, welding specifications, and applicable safety requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Valid/ticketed SMAW qualification – all positions required.
- Demonstrated structural welding experience.




- Proven field experience with structural steel erection and installation.
- Previous shop fabrication and fitting experience.
- Ability to read and understand structural/shop drawings and welding symbols.
- Solid knowledge of welding procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in various field conditions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a crew.
- Valid driver's license
- Additional welding tickets or certifications are an asset.
