Job Title: HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer

Primary Job function: Design mechanical H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage for buildings and tenant improvements. Liaise with architects and provide design direction and review designers' drawings.

Essential roles and Responsibilities:

- Mechanical design for H.V.A.C, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems
- Organize and coordinate design staff to meet project deadlines.
- Drawing review and markup

Required Skills:

- Mechanical engineering design for HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, energy codes, plumbing codes, fire codes, ASHRAE Standards
- Proficient in HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam
- Multi-tasker
- Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
- Good communicator
- Strong Intuitive and proactive manner with problem-solving mindset
- Ability to concentrate on multiple tasks




- Ability to review, interpret and apply building codes in different jurisdictions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to identify potential risks and deal with them directly
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience:

- 5 - 10 years working experience in the building industry with a background planning and executing projects as part of a project team.
- A bachelor's degree/diploma in mechanical engineering
- Registered Skilled Engineer (P.Eng), P.Tech, C.E.T. (10 years)
- Project Management Professional (P.M.P.) considered an asset
- Autodesk, REVIT, AutoCAD working knowledge and mentor team members/EIT
