Canyon Creek Soup Company Ltd. is a food manufacturing facility located in Edmonton. We have been in business since 1996. The company makes fresh refrigerated soups, sauces and side dishes sold across North America. We are a CFIA establishment with various certifications including BRC. We are looking for a candidate that is committed to the Company and is looking to develop a career in Quality Assurance.

Overview: Canyon Creek Soup Company Ltd. is seeking one or more than year’s experience Quality Assurance Associate with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for a permanent, full-time position. This position may start 15:00 until 23:30.

· Quality Checks: Perform process checks throughout the production, batching, packaging, sanitation, and warehouse functions of the company including GMP, metal detection, label, and coding verification, general hygiene, and safety, as well as organoleptic analysis during the in-process and finished product.

· Monitoring & Verification: Responsible for performing task and monitoring function of HACCP programs. Performing laboratory tasks including, sampling, plating, data analysis, pre-operational inspection and subsequent reporting to management.

· Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all quality checks, noting any deviations and the corrective actions taken. Document and inform all QA activities accurately and timely manner. Creating, editing, printing, and verifying labels.

· Problem-Solving: Identify and report any quality issues or operational problems to the QA department. Work with the team to find and implement solutions.



Responds to any quality issues on the floor as notices or requested by Operations inform the team accordingly. Leading the production employees to achieve standards with regards to GMPs, via ensuring employees practice proper personal hygiene and follow good manufacturing practices.

· Equipment Calibration: Regularly check and calibrate quality testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.

· Other tasks as assigned.

· Associate degree or equivalent in food science, biology, chemistry, or a related field.

· At least 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

· Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations.

· Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

· Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move around the production facility.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent – Monday to Friday from 05:00 am to 1:30 pm.

Salary: $21 – $22 based on the experience
