Cook – Brazilian QSR / Fast-Casual Restaurant / Food Court

Location: Downtown Toronto
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Anticipated Opening: November 2026

We are preparing to open Brazilian Food Express, a new fast-casual Brazilian restaurant in downtown Toronto.

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our opening team and lead the daily food production for our Brazilian menu, excluding the grilled meat station.

The Cook will work with the support of a Kitchen Helper and will be responsible for keeping the daily production organized, consistent and ready for service.

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead the daily preparation and production of Brazilian menu items.
- Prepare rice and beans daily.
- Prepare Brazilian-style side dishes and hot items.
- Prepare fresh salads, vegetables and cold sides.
- Prepare items such as farofa, vinaigrette and other Brazilian accompaniments.
- Organize prep lists, portions and daily production.
- Work closely with and help guide the Kitchen Helper.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, cleanliness and food-safety standards.
- Support the service counter and serve customers during rush hours.
- Help keep the operation fast, organized and efficient during lunch service.

What We’re Looking For:

- Mandatory previous experience working as a Cook in a restaurant kitchen.
- Experience in QSR,



fast-casual or high-volume kitchens strongly preferred.
- Experience with Brazilian cuisine is a solid asset.
- Valid Food Handler Certification required.
- Portuguese communication skills are desirable.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong organization, reliability and attention to consistency.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting both kitchen production and customer service when needed.

The selected candidate will ideally become involved during the pre-opening period, ahead of our anticipated November 2026 launch.

Pay: $17.60-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
