Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and dependable General Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our manufacturing and facilities environment. Your expertise will help maintain a protected, efficient, and well-functioning workspace by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and supporting ongoing facility improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate tools such as welders, drills, and hand tools to complete repairs or modifications as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with installation, calibration, and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Support manufacturing processes by ensuring equipment is functioning correctly and addressing any mechanical or electrical issues promptly.
- Supervise or lead small maintenance teams during projects or routine tasks, providing guidance and ensuring safety standards are met.
Skills
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Hands-on welding skills combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and reading blueprints for repairs and installations.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience to guide maintenance activities effectively.
- Customer service orientation with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving and safety compliance.
