Crane Helpers/Swampers

Springhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for full-time Crane Helper/Swampers. These positions are from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required. These candidates should be comfortable working at various heights.

The successful candidates will receive full company paid benefits after 90 days.

Rate of Pay: Depending on Experience

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ensure orders are accurately filled, counted, loaded, unloaded, and secured following all safe work requirements.
- Completes required paperwork and tally product changes as needed.
- Loading and unloading various building materials (roof top shingles, drywall, siding, and lumber, etc.).
- Ability to work comfortably at various heights following all safe work requirements.
- Be professional, courteous, and punctual with a focus on customer service.
- Other duties as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Hold a valid Class 5(F) driver’s licence.
- Obtain and maintain a current driver's abstract (must be within 3 months).
- Fall protection certification desired, but will train the right candidates.
- Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis.




- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift Licence desired (but not required).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Dependable, punctual, friendly, and organized, with a solid work ethic and excellent attendance.
- Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.

Working Conditions:

- Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
- These positions involve heavy lifting and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Safety boots and safety equipment are required.
- Busy, high-volume environment.
