Position Summary
The Licensed Automotive Technician works in a fast-paced service environment, providing superior expertise in automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs. This role requires strong technical skills, skilled communication, and a commitment to building long-term customer loyalty through trust, workmanship, and reputation.
Responsibilities & Tasks
- Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections, diagnostics, estimates, and repairs.
- Complete and review repair orders and vehicle inspection reports with Service Advisors.
- Clearly explain additional maintenance recommendations to customers to build trust and long-term retention.
- Liaise with Management, Service Advisors, Installers, and Back Parts Window Associates to ensure smooth communication and workflow during repairs.
- Deliver quality workmanship that meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Perform tasks in compliance with industry flat-rate time allowances.
- Remain current with up-to-date knowledge of domestic and imported vehicle systems and technology.
Requirements
- Valid Automotive Service Technician License (Red Seal).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong working knowledge of current automotive technology.
- Comfortable working with computerized diagnostic systems.
- Professional customer service skills that inspire confidence and trust.
- Strong communication skills — able to listen carefully and provide precise instructions.
- Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, work collaboratively in a team environment, and perform effectively under pressure.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Regular lifting and carrying of merchandise and automotive components without assistance.
- Working in a fast-paced shop environment with standard automotive equipment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00-$55.00 per hour
